Armed with a piano, Logic, and a midi controller, Valida has created remixes for LA’s Foster The People, Jenny O., Saint Motel, and Bosnian pop star, Dino Merlin. Currently she is working on her original music with a debut EP slated for a winter 2013 release. Her first single, “Mine To Take” was featured in CW’s TV show “The Secret Circle.”

When DJing, Valida’s specialty is a seamless blending of a variety of music styles – and her reputation for fearlessly fusing everything from disco to country and beyond made her a perfect fit for 89.9 KCRW, where she started DJing on-air in 2010. She can also be seen at The Standard Hollywood, where each Wednesday evening she curates and DJs an intimate evening of live music called Desert Nights.

Since launching her first weekly club night Proper at Hollywood’s Star Shoes in 2001, Valida has been featured at the WMC, SXSW, Regine in Paris, Dragon-‐I in Hong Kong, Mystique in Kuala Lumpur, Boudoir in Dubai, Nuphoria in Tokyo, Candela in Puerto Rico, Organic in Mexico, Barbados, San Salvador, Philippines and her native Bosnia.

She has DJed high-‐end private shows for Lanvin, Giorgio Armani, Taschen, Oliver Peoples, Brett Ratner, Justin Timberlake, Sandra Bullock, as well as Macy’s Fashion’s Night Out, HBO’s “Girls” and “Bored To Death” premieres, Paper Magazine’s Beautiful People Issue party, AFI, LA Fashion Week, Nike, Sony, A|X, Flux Series, Target, E3 and more. Valida has also appeared in countless music magazine editorials.

Endowed with looks as much as raw talent, Valida scored a Wet’n’Wild Fresh Face beauty campaign that graced major fashion glossies like Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Lucky, and Elle.
